It's March Madness time!!! This morning is your last chance to sign up and participate in Callahan's March Madness Challenge. Go DUKE!!!!

Tuesday, March 15, 2005
To say it's been a long since I've updated the site would be an understatement. It's a real shame too because it's not for a lack of things with which to update. Since moving to Trumbull, CT, it's just simply been non-stop activity. So the best I can do now is offer a "cliff notes" version of the past several months.

September - The Move
The 3 kids in Providence
The kids spend one more day in the "old" driveway.
The end of September brought about exciting change. Of course with that change came some sorrow as well. After 11 wonderful years in Providence, RI, it was time for The Providence Conaways to become The Trumbull Conaways. With our belongings already on a truck headed south, we packed the few remaining items in the cars, said goodbye to our place on Academy Ave., and headed "home". The next day, Wednesday, September 29th, we closed on our new home. It was an exciting day for all of us.

The movers came the following day to unload our gear, and by the weekend we were moved in (though certainly not settled in).

October - The Transition
Our new neighbors.
October was our first month in the new house, new town, etc. We soaked up every bit of the new experience. While having a drink on our deck one of the first nights, Jeanne-Marie and I were joined by a friendly visitor (see picture). It was one of several new "neighbors" we encountered over the course of the next few weeks. Frequent visitors included several deer, and a family of wild turkey.

With October came Victoria's second month at her new school, St. Catherine's of Sienna. She adjusted very well and made several new friends. She started playing the flute this year, and joined the school band.

Trick or Treat!!!
Victoria also joined a pair soccer teams this fall. She played in the AYSO league this fall, and at the end of the month, tried out and made the Trumbull United U-11 select soccer team. Unfortunately, a freak accident at school caused her to fracture her growth plate in her left knee, and she was forced to watch from the sidelines for much of the season.

The end of the month brought Halloween, where Victoria was a "Crazy Surgeon" and the boys were brother giraffes. One of the highlights of the season was Trunk or Treat, an event put on by Victoria's school where families decorated the trunks of their cars in the school parking lot, and after a halloween party, the kids went "Trunk or Treating" to each car.

November - A Month of Firsts
November was "a month of firsts" for us in the new house. We had our first snowfall in mid-November, something Christopher was extremely excited about. He loved the fact that he could run around the yard in the snow, with plenty of space to roam around.

First Snow of the Season
First Thanksgiving Dinner
First House Project - Before and After

We also celebrated our first Thanksgiving in Trumbull. Jeanne-Marie put together a delicious feast with Turkey and all the trimmings. And finally, we embarked upon our first house project. Or rather, we hired someone to do it for us. We had a very large tree that was situated fairly close to the house, and whose limbs were hanging over the house. In about six hours, the tree was no more, opening up our side yard, and clearing away a potential threat to the house.

December - The Holiday Season
Child labor is permitted at our house.
December brought cold temperatures, and as such, the troops collected wood from various parts of our yard and woods to help make a fire. Christopher especially enjoyed finding and dragging the longest sticks.

Victoria played in her first concert as a member of the band. Her hard work and practicing with her flute was paying off, and she was commended by her instructor for catching up with the rest of the class so quickly.

Things were beginning to settle down at home, especially as my travel schedule lightened. Though we were far from completely moved in, the house was beginning to take shape with our own personal touch.

As we have every year, we embarked on our annual "Northeast Corridor Holiday Tour" during the Christmas holiday. This time, however, our trip was shortened by a leg (Providence to Westport), which made things noticeably easier. As always, Santa was very good to the kids this year.

January - Happy New Year!!!
January was a very busy month at the Conaway household. First, we welcomed a new member to the family ...Jeanne-Marie's new car. Sadly, after 7 1/2 years, her Taurus had started to run out of gas (no pun intended), and our family of 5 was finding it harder to squeeze into the sedan. Her replacement? A Honda Pilot. After years of coveting my Honda (Accord Coupe), JM got her own. Her expression the day she drove it off the lot said it all.

January was also a big month for Christopher. After watching his sister go to school every day, he too started going to school. Christopher joined the Pre-K 4 class and began attending St. Catherine's three days a week. He loved it, and still gets excited each day he has school.

Winter went into full effect in January, as it did throughout much of New England. Temperatures rarely got out of the 20s, and the first of many snowstorms brought over a foot and a half of snow. The kids had a blast playing in the wide open yard, and joined the neighborhood kids on our "hill" for sledding and snow boarding. Christopher insisted on doing what the older kids were doing, and actually held his own on the "board".

February - More Fun, and More Snow
Think he likes it?
February brought the arrival of the boys' new play set. A Christmas present from their grandparents, the play set was put together in the backyard, and when Christopher got home from school that day, he immediately climbed up, slid down, and gave his seal of approval - two thumbs up.

Alexander got his first haircut in February. It was long overdue, as was clearly visible by the mullet he was sporting. He was fantastic in the barber's chair, seeming to enjoy the experience. It was amazing how much older he looked the moment his haircut was finished. It was hard to believe he was the same boy.

Alexander before...
...during...
...and after.

Another snowfall - this one a wet one - allowed Christopher and I to build a snowman. The first two parts of the snowman's body went together pretty quickly. But for some reason, getting the head just right was a much more challenging task than it should have been. Nevertheless, we triumphed and were quite proud of our work.

Happy 1st birthday Alexander!!!

Thursday, September 16, 2004
Two weeks into September, things are getting pretty crazy around here. Victoria is fully immersed in her new school, Jeanne-Marie is doing her best to pack up the house, and still find time to play with the boys, and I'm juggling the responsibilities at home, on the road for work, AND most importantly as The Commish of the Football Challenge. We had a very successful week 1 with 25 friends and family members signing up.

Latest news on the move is that we are under contract (officially), and on target to move in at the end of the month. We can't wait!!!

Friday, September 3, 2004
Tomorrow at Noon ET, the selection sheet will become available for you to make your choices in week 1 of Callahan's Football Challenge. Playing is easy. Just pick the winners in each game, and try and post the best record each week. Official rules are posted on the Football Challenge home page.

In other news, rumor has it our contracts for the house have been signed by the sellers. We'll likely find out on Tuesday officially. Until then, our fingers remain crossed. Victoria completed her first week of school, and LOVED it. To no one's surprise, she's already made her fair share of new friends.

Sunday, August 29, 2004
Yes, it has been a long time since my last update. It's been a busy time too. In May I joined Media Publisher, Inc. to help them establish an east coast presence. It has certainly kept me busy over the
Our new place in Trumbull, CT
past 4 months. With the job change also came the opportunity to relocate. So in the beginning of July, we started house hunting. After 8 weeks and about 40+ houses, we finally found-one. With fingers crossed, we'll be moving to Trumbull, CT at the end of September. We're all very excited, though we will miss Providence, RI as it as served as our home for more than 10 years now.

Victoria starts school on Tuesday at St. Catherine's of Sienna on Tuesday (Parish site at - www.stcatherinetrumbull.com). It will be a busy month of September, as we split time between CT and RI.

September is of importance for another reason in the the Conaway family. ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?!?!? September brings the NFL season, and Callahan's Football Challenge. Friends and family are invited to pick all the games each week in a test of Football prowess. A Conaway has won the title in each of the 6 years in which a champion was crowned (1999-2000 saw a strike shortened season due to a leave of absence taken by the commissioner). Think you can make history? Sign up and play!

Happy Easter!

Friday, April 9, 2004
Congratulations to Steve Uydess for winning the 2004 edition of Callahan's March Madness Challenge! Steve, like many, chose UCONN to win it all. He beat out 7 other players, who also picked UCONN based upon his success in earlier rounds. Jeanne-Marie Conaway, who finished 9th, had the most correct picks with 42.

The main reason I was delayed in posting the aforementioned announcement was the fact that I was in Augusta, GA at the Masters on Tuesday. It was a once in a lifetime experience, and we had a fantastic sunny day to enjoy it. I got to walk the famed course with the likes if Tiger, Phil, Freddie, Davis, Vijay, and for one last time, Arnold (Mr. Palmer is playing in his 50th and final Masters this year). You really can't appreciate how difficult and undulating Augusta National is on TV. It really doesn't do it justice. Augusta allows cameras on the course during the practice rounds, so I snapped a few pictures during the day. Check 'em out in the Photos section.

Sign up and Play! It's March , and that means spring is almost upon us here in New England, and college basketball fans are filling out their brackets. And that means it is time once again for Callahan's March Madness Challenge. You don't have to be an expert to play, or even win. So sign up, fill out your brackets, and let the games begin!!!

Victoria acquired her first pair of glasses the other day. She's been waiting very patiently for the better part of 2 years. She only uses them at school when she sits in the back of the classroom and needs to read the blackboard. Otherwise she still has eyes like a hawk.

Victoria's indoor soccer team moved up the the Open Division last month and were brought back to reality after running the table in the B Division during the first session. They are in the middle of a 4 game losing streak, a new experience for the girls, though they are improving each week. I think the stiffer competition, bigger field with indoor turf (like the ones in NFL stadiums), and faster game play will do wonders for them in preparation for the Spring season.

Christopher is beginning to really enjoy being a "big brother" these days. He wakes up often asking if he and Alexander can dress up as twins. He takes his cues from his big sister and uses the sweetest voice when talking to him. It's really fun to watch.

Alexander weighed in this week at 18 lbs. 2 oz. His bottom two front teeth are in, and he has four (YES FOUR) top teeth coming in now. Needless to say he's not always the happiest of campers, but generally speaking he's non-stop smiles.

I'm headed to Sin City this weekend. I'm off to Vegas for an IBM conference. First time for me, and I've had to promise Jeanne-Marie that I won't try to become the next World Series of Poker Champion. Wish me luck... seriously!

Happy Birthday Victoria
Victoria Turns 10
Happy Birthday Victoria!!! It's hard to believe that 10 years ago today you came into our lives. So much has happened in 10 years, and yet it has gone by so fast. I remember fondly the steps you took out of our bedroom and into the den on your first birthday, how you would sing in your high chair in the kitchen, getting all dressed up for Mommy and Daddy's graduation from College, putting on your uniform for your first day of school, running onto the soccer field for the first time, looking like a princess for your first communion, getting your poem published, and so many more things. You are the joy of your mother and father's lives. And today, we are very happy for your happy birthday.

Friday, January 9, 2004
Victoria and the North Providence Lady Blast (NP Gold) wrapped up their first session of the indoor soccer season last weekend with an 11-1 win, bringing the team's record to an impressive 8-0-1. The team will be moving up from the "B Division" to the "Open Division" for session # 2 where the competition will be tough.

Monday, December 8, 2003
What a fun weekend. It started real early too as the first whistle of Victoria's indoor soccer game blew at 7:00AM. We braved it through the snow, arriving early enough to warm up, only to find the other team was a no-show. But there was an opening for a team at 8:00AM, which her team won improving their record to 4-0 in league play. We were back at the house by 9:40AM and enjoyed a wonderful day in the snow. Saturday brought 15 inches of snow (plus or minus). Sunday brought another 3-6, which made it even more fun when Jeanne-Marie took the 2 oldest to Providence College for sledding. Let the holiday season begin!!!

Tuesday, November 19, 2003
Alexander had another Dr. visit today. He's now 13 lbs. 11 oz. and 24 1/4 inches long (up from 20 at birth). YIKES! I think he's in a hurry to get big enough to start wrestling with Christopher. Victoria's indoor soccer season is under way with the North Providence Lady Blast sporting a 3-0 record. The starting defense, anchored by Victoria at left fullback, has only surrendered 2 goals this season. Victoria also found out yesterday that she will play the role of Charlie, in her school's production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The show, to be put on in April 2004, stars 4th through 8th graders. She's VERY excited.

Monday, October 27, 2003
Happy Birthday Tim!

This weekend Victoria had her last outdoor soccer game, one in which her team prevailed 4-1. She played the entire first half anchoring the defense at Sweeper - the lone goal coming on a fluke ball between the keeper's legs. She spent the second half in goal, giving up no goals in facing 3 shots. Her first indoor game is this Saturday.

Christopher has recently discovered how "strong" he is and likes to show his daddy how he can use his "strong arms" (he flexes) to carry things around the house.

Alexander Christian weighed in at 11 lbs. 11 oz. today. Yes, that means he gained a pound in less than a week.

Tuesday, October 21, 2003
Baby Update: Alexander Christian has checked in at 10 lbs. 11 oz. It won't be long before he and Christopher are wrestling on the den floor.

Monday, October 20, 2003
Victoria's fall soccer team scored a 9-4 victory on Saturday, upping their record to 6-1 this year. Victoria, the starting stopper for much of the season, has recently become the team's second half goalkeeper, where she loves to "cover up" low balls like US National Team net-minder, Briana Scurry.

She has one more game of "outdoor" this Saturday, after which she'll join up with 11 other girls to make up the North Providence Lady Blast, an Indoor Select team.

A larger version of this photo, as well as her individual photo, is viewable in the Photos section.

Christopher and Alexander side by side
I just posted a few photos of Alexander and family in the Photos Section. I hope to have more online by the end of the week. While scanning in some of the pictures that were taken last week when Alexander was born, an idea came to me. I thought it would be fun to see what a difference 3 years, one month, one day, 3 hours, and fifty-one minutes made. Click here to see what I found.

Alexander Christian Conaway
Born: Wednesday, September 17 5:29AM
Weight: 7 lbs. 7 oz.
Length: 20 inches
If you haven't heard the news already, Jeanne-Marie, Victoria, Christopher and I are excited to announce the arrival of a new Conaway. Alexander Christian was born last Wednesday, September 17th at 5:29AM. Both baby and Mom are doing very well. Alexander still sleeps more during the day than he does at night, but that's not a surprise. He's gotten better each night this week, so we hope the trend continues. I just got back some photos from the lab today, and since I've taken this week off to stay home, I hope to have some up in the Photos section very soon

As for the other kids, Victoria is loving fourth grade, and is a star defender on her fall soccer team. Christopher loves his new baby brother, and likes to sing him "Rock a Bye Baby" when he cries.

Saturday, August 30, 2003
NFL Ok, so it's been 3 months since my last update. Not what I had in mind, but it's been a busy summer. No baby yet (September 17th is official due date). But more importantly, ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?!?!?!? Yes, it is that time of year again. It's time for Callahan's Annual Football Challenge. Come test your football knowledge against my friends and family. The first game is this Thursday, so make sure you get your picks in by 7:00PM ET.

Saturday, May 17, 2003
It's been a long time since I've even looked at this site, let alone worked on it. So what's happened in the past 5 months? Well, Victoria celebrated her 9th birthday on February 9th. Hard to believe how quickly she's growing up. She was a starter on defense for the North Providence Lady Blast, her select indoor soccer team. Now that the weather is nice, the team has moved outside, where Victoria is mastering the effectiveness of the offsides trap to the pleasure of her assistant coach (and Dad).

Christopher, now two and a half, is Victoria's biggest cheerleader, and has taken after her sister's love for the game. He can often be found on the sidelines dribbling and kicking a spare ball. He's also excited about the nice spring weather, as it means he can enjoy his favorite pastime - digging in the yard with his trucks.

Will it be a boy or a girl? The big news of the new year is that we are expecting a NEW member of the Conaway family. We found out in early February that "number 3" is on the way, due in mid-September to be exact. This was a complete surprise, but we are very excited. As with Victoria and Christopher, we will not be finding out if it is a boy or a girl until the very end. Anyone care to hazard a guess?

Jeanne-Marie is doing well. This pregnancy got off to a rocky start, but since then things have gone very smoothly. We're keeping our fingers crossed, but to this point this pregnancy has been the easiest of the three.

As for me, I've been on the road quite a bit. Since January I've been spending a lot of time in Minneapolis, Chicago, L. A., and New York. And that doesn't even include the two weeks I spent in Seattle. It's been a hectic five months, but it seems to be paying off.

So that's a quick update from Providence. Let's hope the next update doesn't take another 5 months :).

Monday, December 30, 2002
It's official. Jack has won Callahan's 2002-2003 Football Challenge.

Saturday, December 21, 2002
The Providence Conaways would like to wish everyone a healthy and happy holiday season.

Saturday, November 16, 2002
One week. Only one week to go before my bother Tim gets married. Three weeks ago I went down to Tampa to visit him for his bachelor party. It was a blast as we played golf, and went deep sea fishing off the gulf coast. We brought lots of fish into the boat that day, including some spanish mackerel, king fish, tuna, red grouper, mango snapper, and one barracuda.

Monday, September 2, 2002
NFL Yes, it is that time of year again. It's time for Callahan's Annual Football Challenge. Come test your football knowledge against my friends and family. The first game is this Thursday, so make sure you get your picks in by 8:00pm. Are you ready for some football?

The Photos section has been updated with some new pictures from our April vacation and the June Air Show.

Oracle ChallengerThe family and I went to the 11th Annual RI National Guard Air Show today. It was awesome. We saw up close in personal on the ground and in the air an F-14, F-15, and CF-18. Those are some fast and LOUD aircraft. Christopher would yell, "Plane....boom!" every time they would fly by. Sean Tucker and his Oracle Challenger put on best aerobatics show of the day. The highlight of the day also ended the day. The Thunderbirds of the United States Air Force were graceful and powerful at the same time. I'll have some photos of the day online in the Photos section soon.

Oh, and the Graffiti Wall is back online after getting a makeover.

Tuesday, June 25, 2002
A few changes here, a few changes there. Gone are the Filez and Music sections. Why? 'Cause.

I just got back from London and Amsterdam. I was there on business. Ok, part business, part pleasure. It was my first time to both places so I tried to make the most of my time there. I took lots of pictures and hope to throw a few online soon.

Wednesday, May 25, 2002
I posted some new photos today from our family vacation to Florida this past April. Victoria made friends with a brother and sister from Paris. They had a blast together and are now best of friends. Tomorrow is my birthday. I turn 28. Yikes, 30 is not too far away now.

Wednesday, May 8, 2002
Yikes. Six months between edits. Not good. I hope to focus on cleaning up the site a bit in the coming weeks. I plan to add lots of pictures too (course I've said that all before). Only time will tell if I get around to it I suppose. But I've got some new ones up tonight, so I guess that's a start. Check them out in the photos section.

Monday, November 12, 2001
Yea, I know. Not much updating going on here. Well, there's this thing called work holding me up. Been on the road quite a bit lately, often in Washington D.C. But I have a ton of pictures to put online so expect a few more updates soon.

Monday, October 15, 2001
We're one quarter of the way through the NFL season and it has been full of surprises. Tennessee is off to a 1-3 start, while Cincinati, Cleveland, and San Diego are 3-2. There are no surprises in this year's Football Challenge however. The usual suspects are at the top of the leaderboard.

Thursday, September 6, 2001
If it's September, it's football. And if it's football, it's time for Callahan's Football Challenge. We had 16 players last year, 15 of whom will be chasing defending champion Jack. Will Jack blister the field as he did last year with 6 weekly wins? Will this be Zach's year to move from second place to first? Will David, who nearly caught Jack and Zach last year despite missing an extra week, make a run for the championship? Will two-time champion Jeanne-Marie regain her winning form? Or will a new player emerge from the pack? Get those picks in and let the fun begin.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTOPHER!!!

Friday, August 10, 2001
Wow, an update. I actually took the time to make an update to this site. Well, if you must know things have been a bit hectic lately. First, I changed jobs. After a long search, I left my old company and joined on with Context Media. I started with them on May 1 and am having a blast. The following week I learned that the we had to move as our house was sold (we were renting an apartment in a 3 family home and the buyer wanted to move in to our apt.) and we had 45 days to find a new place to live. No stress there. Anyway, to make along story short we have since moved into a wonderful 3 bedroom ranch house. We're still unpacking, but are happy to be settled in.

Now that things seem to be calming down, I'm hoping to have a bit more time to make a few more much needed updates to this site. More pictures will soon be available, as well as the final week's results and official standings in last year's Football Challenge ('bout time I know). I'll also have the results of the March Madness Challenge updated as well.

Here's hoping everyone is staying cool this summer...

DUKE IS IN THE FINAL FOUR BABY!!!!!!!

Monday, March 12, 2001
GO DUKE! GO PROVIDENCE! It's March Madness time baby, and both my teams are in the big dance. Of course Duke (Dad's alma mater) is expected to make the NCAA tournament every year. But the Friars of Providence (my esteemed alma mater) are a surprise this year. But with their stellar turn around, they've earned a spot as the #10 seed in the South Region, and many are picking them to upset #7 Penn State in the opening round. Speaking of predictions, Callahan's March Madness Challenge is accepting participants this week. Sign up now to compete against my friends and family.

Tuesday, March 6, 2001
The storm that wasn't. The blizzard of '01 turned out not to be so scary. But it certainly couldn't be brushed off. Just ask the employees of the RI State Lottery Commission. I can personally vouch for the density of the snow, having spent more than 2 hours clearing our cars, the driveway, and the sidewalk. Victoria thought it would be fun to throw snowballs at daddy as he worked, an action that warranted immediate retaliation. We're due for another 5-8 inches tonight and tomorrow they say. I sure hope it's the light and fluffy kind this time so I can break out the snow blower. This shoveling thing just doesn't do it for me.

Free Download
This is a test. This is only a test. I recorded about 90 seconds of video of Christopher the other day using my webcam. I've set it up as a RealMedia file. I hope this works. If you don't have RealPlayer, you can download it free of charge by clicking the button above and filling out the necessary forms. If you have RealPlayer installed, click here to see my boy who is now 27 1/2 inches long and 19 lbs. 12oz. Please note, if you don't hear sound...that's ok. There is none.

The kids at a friend's birthday party.
L to R: Chuck E, Victoria, and Christopher
It's been WAY too long since I've posted an update. I've been pretty busy around here since my last posting (December 2nd to be exact). I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. As usual the Conaway family participated in the Annual Northeast Corridor Holiday Tour. For those of you unfamiliar with this trip, in brief, here's the itinerary: RI to CT to NJ to DE, back to CT, back to RI. We sure were exhausted upon our return, but it was well worth it to see everyone.

January brought us a bit of snow, and a nasty case of the FLU that wrecked havoc on our house. Victoria was out of school for over a week, then Christopher got sick. Jeanne-Marie and yours truly were next and before you know it, it's February. Victoria turned 7 on February 9th (pictures soon I promise). The following weekend she had her "Sunrise Surprise" birthday party.

Sunday, December 3, 2000
It's officially the Christmas season at the Conaway house. Today we picked out our tree and set it up in the living room. For the second year in a row we got a Frasier Fir. It has a GREAT scent, is nice and soft to the touch, and as we found out last year it can last through January if cared for properly. I battled with the lights for our hedges out front tonight. Darn things can drive an otherwise stable man wacko. Round 2 resumes tomorrow night.

Saturday, December 2, 2000
When we moved into our new apartment last Summer, one of the things we were most excited about was the working fireplace. We used it several times last winter, buying wood from the local super market every so often. Well this year we wanted to use the fireplace even more. So we decided to bite the bullet and order a cord of wood. OH MY!!! This is the first time I've ever ordered wood (there was always wood to be had at my parents house growing up). It was delivered today, as you can see. I grabbed our Polaroid camera and snapped a few pictures. The one you see to the right was taken halfway through the job. The other two (taken upon completion) did not turn out as well as it was getting dark. Needless to say we had a fire going in the fireplace tonight.

Thursday, November 30, 2000
Baby Update: Christopher has not stopped growing. I suppose that is a good thing. He just turned 15 weeks old and recently weighed in at 16lbs. 7oz. The kid is SOLID. He's smiling all the time now (especially for his big sister) and beginning to talk. Nothing understandable of course, but he loves making sounds. I'm picking up some Halloween pictures tonight, and hope to have them up sometime this weekend.

Sunday, November 19, 2000
Today votes are being cast to determine if the "Bye Rule" will be added to the official rule book of Callahan's Football Challenge. The polls are due to close at 12:00pm Eastern Time. The Commish is expected to certify the results immediately and post them by 1:00pm Eastern Time, baring any intervention from the courts.

Have we had enough of this already?

Thursday, November 2, 2000
There is a new version of Hotline Connect software available. If you are connecting to my server, you will want to grab this upgrade. You can do so from the Filez section for directly from my server. If you have no clue what I am talking about, check out the aforementioned Filez section.

Christopher had another weigh-in this morning. He's now 14lbs. 6oz. and 24 1/2 inches long. Milk sure is doing his body good.

This Wednesday my grandparents will have been married 60 years. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY GRANDMA AND POP!!!

Wednesday, October 18, 2000
Baby update: Christopher, Jr. is like the Energizer Bunny. He just keeps growing, and growing, and growing, and growing....well you get the picture. As of last Friday (2 days short of 2 months), he was 13lbs. 12oz. The Sunday before that, he was 13lbs 4oz. So if my math is correct, he gained 8oz. in 5 days. YIKES!!!

Today at the State House, the Heritage Harbor Museum kicked off it's $25 million bond campaign. In conjunction with this event, a new version of Heritage Harbor's website was released. This was one of the projects I have managed over the past several months. Go visit the new site at www.heritageharbor.org !!!

Baby update: Christopher, Jr. will be ready next month to replace departed New York Knicks' center Patrick Ewing. Today he measured in at 22 1/2 inches long (up from 19 at birth) and 11lbs. 8oz. (up from 6lbs. 13oz.).

In other news, I finally got the Filez section up and running.

Happy Anniversary to me, happy anniversary to me... Today Jeanne-Marie and I celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary. How lucky am I? A beautiful wife, two beautiful children -- to borrow a phrase from an old beer commercial, it doesn't get any better than this.

Happy Labor Day!!! I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday weekend. I was greeted by my daughter this morning with "Good morning Daddy. You can't ask me to do you any favors or chores today because it is Labor Day and my teacher said we don't have to work on Labor Day." Lucky me.

It's that time of year again. What time you ask? Well, ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?!?! That's right, it is time for Callahan's Football Challenge (formerly The Four Amigos Football Challenge). Go up against my friends and family in a weekly contest to see who can most accurately predict the outcomes of the games. Be warned, it is not as easy as you think.

Christopher Vernon Conaway, Jr.
I have updated the top navigation bar to accommodate additional menu items. The choices now scroll from left to right, or from right to left, depending on which half-circle you place your mouse over. Please let me know if you have any problems with this new system.

Welcome Christopher Vernon Conaway, Jr.!!! Christopher was born at 1:39AM this morning and was 6lbs. 13oz. and 19 inches long. He has deep "ocean blue" eyes and a thin yet dark head of hair. His mouth and nose are just like Victoria's. Both he and Jeanne-Marie are doing very well.

Well, still no baby! Jeanne-Marie is due this coming Friday, but we sure are hoping we don't have to wait that long. When the big day comes, you'll be sure to see an announcement here.

I made several changes to my home network last weekend -- no thanks to a 3GB hard drive that went bad on me. It didn't help that it was the system drive of my Hotline Server. I ended rebuilding both my servers a couple of times (Windows 2000 and I are not on speaking terms right now). Good news is that now everything is now up and running again...for now.

The Music section now includes a music review area. So far just the three album reviews from my old site are there. If you want to sing the praises of an album (no pun intended), send it to me and I'll post it.

I just updated the Music section. Information on the two CDs I mixed is now available, with the music review section soon to follow.

I updated the Links section today. As time permits I'll be adding many more links. But even putting up the few I have so far is quite an accomplishment for me lately. Let's hope I don't go another 2 months without any further action on here.

Things at work have been crazy busy lately, so not much has changed around here. But all in due time I guess. The nice 11 day vacation I took also slowed things down, but I'm not feeling too guilty about that. Expect more updates in the next few days.

Well, we are all moved in. The new place is FABULOUS!! I'm hoping to have some pictures up soon. In even better news (at least for me) I now have a cable modem. WHOOHOO!! This means super high speed internet access for me, and cool files to download for you. The Filez section is going to change. Instead of having access to files from your browser, you will need to use Hotline Client (see description in Filez Section) to connect to my server. It may sound more difficult, but it really makes it much easier. So if you want to get some cool free stuff, head on over there.
