Some time ago I read an article about a father who registered a domain for his daughter Veronica as a birthday present. He reserved www.veronica.org for her so that as she grew up in this information age, she would have a place on the net all for herself, something many of her future classmates probably wouldn't have. I thought this was a great idea. If the Internet grows over the next 5-10 years at the rate it has over the past 3, I figure it will become as integral a part of our lives as the television has, maybe even bigger. I decided that I wanted to get my place on the net before someone else did. I already had seen how companies were swiping up domain names and then reselling them or renting them out. In fact, that very thing was being done with www.conaway.com. So I quickly registered www.conaway.net, which brings us to the next question, "What do I plan to do with my domain?". Well for now, it is going to function as my little playspace, somewhere I can try out new web technologies, keep in touch with friends, and just have a little fun. The News section will be updated constantly with anything and everything I consider newsworthy. And as the Internet grows, so will conaway.net. I welcome any and all suggestions as to how I can make this site better. I hope you enjoy your visit, and please come back again soon.
